The annual awards ceremony, which recognizes the best restaurants in the world, has moved to London due to the invasion of Ukraine. The World’s 50 Best Restaurants organization sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, would be held in Moscow. However, the invasion of Ukraine has changed all plans. The cancellation of the ceremony in Moscow, announced by the 50 Best team via Instagram and Twitter post: “At this current time, we are planning on holding The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022 in London in July.”

The awards ceremony was held in London from 2003 to 2015 before it became international. New York, Melbourne, Basque Country, Singapore, and Antwerp hosted the awards ceremony following years.

Last year, Copenhagen’s Noma by chef René Redzepi was named the best restaurant in the world. We look forward to awards of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022.
