Having had a tough time due to the effects of coronavirus, restaurants began to look for solutions themselves. The celebrity chefs have merged under the Business Interruption Group (BIG) in this challenging process.

The Business Interruption Group is a nonprofit group that claims to cover losses for restaurants damaged by coronavirus from insurance companies. BIG, whose founding members are Thomas Keller, Wolfgang Puck, Daniel Boulud, Jean – Georges Vongerichten, Jerome Bocuse, Dominique Crenn, Edouardo Jordan, legally demand that the insurance cover the losses due to the coronavirus outbreak. BIG emphasised that the restaurant sector is the largest sector in America and employing 16.6 million people and contributing $ 1 trillion annually to the economy. In Hugo McCafferty’s article, he highlighted that Thomas Keller sued the insurance firm and the unity of the fractured restaurant sector with BIG against insurance company. “We need insurance companies to do the right thing and save millions of jobs,” Thomas Keller said in a statement.
