Union Square Hospitality Group, one of New York’s leading restaurant companies, was included in several restaurants that were closed due to the coronavirus crisis.

The brand is laying off about 2,000 employees which represent 80 per cent of the company’s total workforce at more than 20 restaurants. Employees have been directed to re-apply for their jobs, according to information in an internal company e-mail that was sent yesterday.
