Iconic US chef Thomas Keller is inviting keen home cooks to join him in whipping up a hearty dinner in an online event on 10 September to raise funds for Niman’s Next Generation scholarship fund, which helps young farmers further their educations.
On the mouth-watering menu is pan-roasted pork chops, crushed potatoes, blistered cauliflower, and spiced apple cider gastrique. All the dishes will be made using produce out of an ingredient kit purchasable from Denver’s Marczyk Fine Foods and Niman Ranch, a cooperative of small family farms sustainably raising livestock. The two-person kits cost $200 and come complete with a dinner recipe card; ingredient and equipment lists; denim apron; a link to the live Zoom event and plenty of other edible goodies, Fine Dining Lovers reported.
