The Legend of L’atelier de Joël Rubuchon continues with the recent opening of the haute cuisine venue in Dubai after France, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Taipei.
L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon has opened the doors to its much-anticipated restaurant in the UAE. Boasting a beautiful private outdoor terrace in the DIFC, guests are invited to experience the best of French fine dining under the stars in a refined and friendly setting. The opening of this exciting new venue, represents the next era in the Joël Robuchon story. R e-imagined for a new generation, the spirit of L’Atelier reflects Robuchon’s cuisine, whilst confidently carrying it forward to welcome sophisticated diners in a highly casual ambience.
The expansive terrace area is envisioned as an immersive space for dining and socializing, open from lunchtime until late. Here, guests are invited into the world of the renowned French artist Philippe Pasqua, who has over the course of eighteen months, handcrafted a unique series of bronze vine sculptures especially for the Dubai venue. These are beautifully showcased throughout the terrace, silhouetted against the Dubai skyline in breathtaking fashion. Another noteworthy design feature is the out-sized chandelier positioned in the outdoor roof, conceptualized by Gregory Gatserelia, that elevates the space into a glamorous, yet contemporary outdoor room.
L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon has found quick success in its soft opening phase, with discerning Dubai diners embracing the modern, relaxed philosophy of the concept. Robuchon’s protégée, Executive Chef Axel Manes, presides over the kitchen, offering healthy and seasonal ingredients, selected from over 100 different producers, favoring dishes with only a few elements, that allow the key ingredients to shine. Manes’ authentic cuisine sets the tone for a 2.0 version of Joel Robuchon’s signature dishes, offering the best of French cuisine and the finest of fine dining in a refined yet informal atmosphere.
During the week, guests looking for a lighter edit of the a la carte menu can select the Business Lunch menu, which incorporates Robuchon’s classics at an accessible 129 AED. This competitive daytime offering is available from Sundays through Thursdays, from 11.30am to 3.30pm, allowing guests to experience L’Atelier’s “cuisine a la minute”.
The restaurant is situated on the podium floor of Gate Village 11 in DIFC. There are 104 seats in the main dining area while the expansive terrace can host up to 68 guests.
