This spring will see the opening of a new restaurant in Harrods, The Dim Sum Terrace. Located on the 4th floor, the new spot will offer guests a bright new space including a terrace, one of only two outdoor spaces within the Knightsbridge store. With a conservatory-style design the restaurant is set to be bathed in natural light throughout the day. Inspired by the teahouses of China, the menu will celebrate the versatility of dim sum with a range of styles and fillings.
The Dim Sum Terrace’s dumplings will be handmade by the in-house chefs each morning. Well-loved classics alongside some more unusual dumplings that are unique to the restaurant, as well as creative takes on traditional Chinese dishes.
The plump dumplings come steamed, fried or baked, generously filled with a range of ingredients.
Highlights from the menu will include decadent dim sum of scallop and prawn siu mai topped with foie gras, as well as fragrant lobster and coriander dumplings or crispy and golden, deep-fried taro and wagyu dumplings with plum sauce and caviar.
The menu will also feature Cantonese classics like pork sui long bao topped with vinegar pearls and BBQ pork char siu bao.
An extensive drinks list will include signature cocktails, there will also be a broad array of traditional Chinese teas, a selection of non-alcoholic cocktails, and a cognac and cigar offering, courtesy of Louis XIII.
