Restaurant and Chef finalists of the 2020 James Beard Awards were announced in a virtual ceremony in May. With a virtual ceremony which Chicago continues to be the host city, the Foundation will announce the winners with surprise guests at 18:30 (CT) via Twitter. However, according to the announcement on the site of the James Beard Foundation, all events that will take place until December 2020 will be organized virtually due to the ongoing pandemic worldwide.
