Sven Wassmer (1986) was born and raised in the Frick Valley, a rural Swiss region close to Basel. His training grounds include Viajante in London (by Nuno Mendes) and Schloss Schauenstein in Fürstenau (by Andreas Caminada). In 2014 he took over Silver at 7132 Vals, earning him his first 2 Michelin Stars. Then he opened Sven Wassmer Memories and Verve by Sven at Grand Resort Bad Ragaz in 2019; the restaurants between them have a total of 4 Michelin Stars and 33 Gault & Millau points. In 2022 he published his first book, My Alpine Cuisine. He is a Brand Ambassador for Audemars Piguet, Mercedes-Benz, Oona Caviar and Liechtensteinische Landesbank. He is married to Amanda Wassmer-Bulgin, Sommelière and Master of Wine candidate, and they have two little sons: Ezra and Elijah. Deeply dedicated to his profession, the chef pauses his passion only for his family and to take inspiring walks in nature, or to pick up his skateboard and bust some new tricks.
