Three hotels in Hong Kong will host 11 unique events of the Shangri-La Hotels’ five-day wine event to be held by master sommelier Yohann Jousselin in November.
Shangri-La’s Regional Wine Programme Director and Master Sommelier Yohann Jousselin is holding the first “A Festival of Wine” event between 24-28 November 2020 to showcase premium wines from around the world. The festival, which will be held at Island Shangri-La, Kowloon Shangri-La and Kerry Hotel, will host more than 220 fine wines from premium wine suppliers around the world, as well as a range of events such as special dinners, tastings and a wine fair.
The five-day event kicks off with the sixth edition of Petrus’ iconic annual wine dinner on 24 November. The exclusive celebration—a Petrus tradition—will highlight an extensive selection of rare vintages, including Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac Leognan 1959; Chateau d’Yquem Sauternes, 1955; and Madeira, Pereira d’Oliviera, Boal, 1908. The rare wine flight will be accompanied by a bespoke dinner menu designed and crafted by the restaurant’s executive chef Uwe Opocensky. The wine dinner is priced at HK$34,888 per person, with limited availability for 10 guests.
