Leon, the fast-casual chain, has backed non-stop working health workers in the coronavirus outbreak with thousands of meals by reaching £ 1m of the target.
At the end of March, Leon, the fast-casual chain that joined the JustGiving campaign alongside famous actors Damian Lewis, Helen McCrory and Matt Lucas, distributed 5,600 meals to 5 main hospitals in London collected as £ 1 million. Leon, who has distributed 35,000 meals to 11 hospitals so far, is delivering thousands of hot and nutritious meals that prepared in its kitchens to health workers that working nonstop in intensive care units through Deliveroo. Leon, “All the money donated will turn into meals,” posted on Leon’s Twitter account over the weekend, was distributed not only to London but also to Birmingham and Manchester. The company said in a statement, “NHS staff have taken the time they don’t have to thank us and so we know this is making a small difference. But they are making a huge difference for us every day and so we must keep fundraising.”
