Rafael Cagali, originally from São Paulo, draws on his Brazilian and Italian roots to shape his culinary vision. After experimenting in many renowned kitchens, Cagali founded Da Terra with Charlie Lee in 2019, earning his first Michelin star eight months after opening and his second in 2021.
Rafael’s cuisine at Da Terra reflects his roots and emphasizes the connection between land, nature and people. The menu is presented as a blind tasting experience and takes a personal and original approach using local Brazilian ingredients.
Da Terra was ranked 3rd in the list of the UK’s top 100 restaurants by The National Restaurant Awards and was named the best restaurant in London in 2023.
