Popeyes, one of the largest chain restaurants in the USA, has confirmed that it will open six new restaurants in the UK. The new restaurants, which will employ 600 people, will open this year in Nottingham, Gateshead, Oxford, Reading, Brighton and Ealing.

The chain, which opened its first restaurant in England in London in 2021, opened a branch in Chelmsford on 11 June. Popeyes aims to open more than 350 restaurants in the UK within the next ten years.
