American fried chicken chain Popeyes is preparing to open its first UK restaurant this year. Popeyes plans to open 350 UK branches over the next decades as part of its European launch.

Elias Diaz Sese, the co-founder of Popeyes UK and a director of Domino’s Pizza UK and Ireland, told The Caterer the UK was an “extremely attractive” market for investors and the company wants to grow in a “rational and reasonable way”.

Popeyes was founded in 1972 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and serves as the American fried chicken chain headquartered in Miami, Florida.
