French celebrity chef and restauranteur Michel Roux Jr.’s Roux at Parliament Square located in Westminster announced its permanent closure.

“Our restaurant has regrettably suffered during this incredibly difficult year. That, combined with the ongoing uncertainty ahead, has resulted in the permanent closure of Roux at Parliament Square” stated Michel Roux Jr. with a post on the restaurant’s website.

Named United Kingdom’s National Chef of the Year 2020, Roux at Parliament Square’s Head Chef Steve Groves said that the neglection of the hospitality sector is unfair while the other industries can run, and criticized the government on his social media accounts.
