Denmark’s three-Michelin-starred restaurant Noma announced a loss in 2021. The restaurant, which is number one on the list of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, lost 1.69 million crowns in 2021 despite receiving 10.9 million crowns from the Danish government during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the 2021 financial report of Rene Redzepi’s restaurant, Noma, a statement was made, “In the circumstances, the company’s result and economic development have been satisfying. The company expects an improved result for the year ahead.”
