Chef Soo Ahn, the owner of the Band of Bohemia in Chicago, the first pub to earn a Michelin star in America, opened the Italian restaurant Adalina in Chicago. The chef, who runs Adalina’s kitchen, said he would add a personal touch to Italian flavors.
Opened this week, Adalina’s menu features delicious Italian dishes such as classic meatballs, handmade ravioli, and veal parmigiana. More adventurous creations, inspired by Ahn’s culinary techniques learned in previous work experiences, are also on the menu. In addition, Ahn reinterprets typical Chicago Italian-American dishes such as chicken Vesuvius with chicken legs, french fries, peas, thyme, garlic, and white wine.
The first floor of the restaurant features an outdoor seating area and a bar with colorful mirrors, velvets, and soft leather upholstery; On the second floor is the main dining room. At the restaurant, customers are greeted by a floor-to-ceiling wine cellar with 3,000 wine bottles.
