Michelin-starred British chef Josh Eggleton said the virus has stepped up efforts to reconsider his business’s future.

Michelin-starred chef Josh Eggleton, whose 6 restaurants have also closed since mid-May, worked with the Caring in Bristol charity during the quarantine process, directing 50,000 meals to homeless and shelters. Eggleton, the successful chef and restaurateur, said this process has speeded up his plans to focus on working with the most vulnerable members of society, even offering some free meals at his highly-acclaimed restaurants. “Now I want to construct restaurants that all walks of life can enjoy,” chef Eggleton said about his future plans. In addition to these plans, the celebrity chef also talked about how negatively the quarantine process has affected his businesses, ITV News reported. The celebrity chef, who has furloughed his 150 employees, said he suffered tens of thousands of pounds in losses. “Within one week, we were done. Our cashflow was gone, costs quickly spiralled out of control. We work on such fine margins, so technically we are bankrupt.”
