The famous Italian cruise ship Costa Venezia starts regular sailings. Costa Venezia will welcome its guests every Sunday at Galataport in Istanbul and sail into the Aegean Sea. With a capacity of 5,260 passengers, the cruise also demonstrates its claim in gastronomy with its Michelin-starred chefs in its kitchen.
Seven-time Michelin-starred Italian chef Bruno Barbieri, three-Michelin-starred chef Hélène Darroze and Michelin-starred Spanish chef Ángel León will host the cruise guests at Costa Venezia’s restaurant Casanova Restaurant throughout the season.
Pointing out that gastronomy is very important to them, Costa Cruises Sales and Marketing Director Alessandro Bottaro said, “We have three Michelin-starred chefs in our Casanova restaurant. Special menus are made here. We make wine pairings with five different dishes. We can say that it is the only restaurant where you can eat the food prepared by a Michelin star chef with prices between 42 and 45 Euros. There is no shortage of reservations here. Our chefs also create unique dishes using the local products of the destinations they visit. Turkey is a country that is highly appreciated in terms of gastronomy. We brought together Turkish and Italian tastes in the menu we prepared for the introductory meeting. On board we can also serve dishes for a wide variety of palates such as Kosher, Indian, Halal. We also have special occasion menus such as gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian. As we know the importance of breakfast for Turks, we added foods such as cheese and olives to the buffet. We also have a la carte restaurants with sushi, hot pot, steakhouse and pizza concept.”
