The Michelin Guide France 2022, launched on March 22 with a live ceremony in Cognac, 49 new restaurants have joined the new guide. Two new three stars, six new two stars, and 41 new stars found their owners at the ceremony, which has taken place outside Paris for the first time in its 122 years.

Villa Madie in Cassis brought its gastronomic success to the top with its third Michelin star. The restaurant, run by Dimitri and Marielle Droisneau since 2013, draws inspiration from the Mediterranean for both design and cuisine. The restaurant is known for signature dishes such as Carabineros shrimp on a red berry tartlet and the rabbit and jumbo shrimp fricassee with early apricots.

Another restaurant awarded three Michelin stars is Plénitude – Cheval Blanc Paris, which overlooks the Seine. Chef Arnaud Donckele, known for his creative sauces, tops French cuisine with sauces at the restaurant.

Six new restaurants, three of them in Paris, have earned 2 Michelin stars. Palais Royal Restaurant, led by Greek chef Philip Chronopoulos, Table Restaurant – Bruno Verjus, and L’Oiseau Blanc Restaurant by chef David Bizet are three-star restaurants in Paris that have earned two Michelin stars. Lalique in Bombs in the Sauternes region under Jérôme Schilling, Duende in Nimes, run by chef-duo Nicolas Fontaine and Julien Caligo on behalf of Pierre Gagnaire, and Le Blue Bay in Monaco, where chef Marcel Ravin explores his native Martinique, all joined the list with two Michelin stars. 

In addition, six new restaurants have received green stars in the Michelin Guide France 2022, which lists have 627 restaurants.

There are 87 restaurants in France with green stars with the new additions.
