The trend of plant-based nutrition continues to rise in the world. Following the best restaurants in the world, the Michelin Guide gave stars to 81 vegan and vegetarian restaurants this year.
In recent years, veganism has become a trend, with more and more people turning away from animal-derived products for ethical and environmental reasons. The world’s leading chefs also support this trend. This year, the Michelin jury awarded 57 vegetarian and 24 vegan restaurants with stars. The most notable of these restaurants are Joia in Milan, Eleven Madison Park in New York, Le Compois in Los Angeles, Atelier Crenn in San Francisco and King’s Joy in Beijing. Michelin Guide gave a star to Dominique Crenn’s meatless restaurant for the first time in 2019.
