Pierre Troisgros, the famous chef of the 3 Michelin-starred Traisgros, died today at the age of 92.

It was announced by Le Progrès that Pierre Troisgros, the world-famous chef of the 3 Michelin-starred Traisgros, who did not leave the kitchen even after his retirement, had died today at the age of 92. Born in Chalon-sur-Saône on September 3, 1928, Pierre Troisgros ran after his passion by spending every moment of his life in the kitchen. Before leaving for Paris, he worked in the kitchens of the family restaurant located in Place de la Gare in Roanne since the 1930s, and then returned to the Loire in the 1950s and started the family business with his brother Jean. The establishment of the Troigros Brothers did not take long: it won its first star in 1956, the second in 1965 and the third three years later. In 1968, Christian Millau wrote on the cover of Gault-Millau magazine: “I discovered the best restaurant in the world.”
