Sommerin, whose Michelin-starred restaurant Penarth was closed last year due to pandemic conditions, returns with his new restaurant. Preparing a concept that makes customers feel at home, Sommerin rolled up his sleeves to win the Michelin star again.
Almost a year after his well-loved Michelin starred seafront restaurant closed in the town, Sommerin is back with a new concept. His new rastaurant Home, as the name suggest, offers cutsomers a home environment. To enter the restaurant, where the windows are blacked out, customers have to ring the doorbell. At Home, which will open its doors on Stanwell Road, James Sommerin and his daughter Georgia will prepare the meals in an open kitchen concept. The pair have worked closely at their former restaurant.
Last July his Penarth seafront restaurant closed its doors due to pandemic conditions. James Sommerin, making huge preparations for his new restaurant, aims to regain his Michelin star for Home, which is opening on August 18 and will serve a four-course lunches and eight-course tasting menu.
