In Italy, restaurant owners protested with their employees in every corner of the country on Wednesday.
Protests were held in every corner of Italy, with restrictions on closing bars and restaurants. At a protest organized by Fipe, the Italian Restaurant Owners’ Association, in Rome’s Pantheon Square on Wednesday, plates and cups were placed on top of a tablecloth that was laid down and the “silence” used by the military at funerals was played. The effective protest organized by the FIPE took place simultaneously in 24 more cities in Italy. And in Milan, several dozen protesters set up a symbolic restaurant table in front of the iconic Duomo.
