Lorna McNee, Scotland’s only female Michelin-starred chef, continues her career as she was awarded the “Young Talents of the Year” award by La Liste. McNee, stands out for her innovative style and being the only British chef to receive this award.
Working with two Michelin-starred chef Andrew Fairlie in the early years of her career, McNee became head chef of Cail Bruich in Glasgow in 2019, earning her first Michelin star in just two years. Lorna McNee, who was named Scottish Chef of the Year in 2017 and won BBC’s Great British Menu in 2019, draws attention with her innovative culinary style.
In 2021, Lorna McNee was named one of the “Stars of the Future” by Observer Food Monthly and continues to rise with many more awards. McNee, who had the honor of earning Glasgow’s first Michelin star, shared her happiness that she has now been named La Liste’s Talent of the Year, “This truly is an honor to be recognized by La Liste and especially as the only chef to represent Scotland and the UK in this category. I am delighted to be noted alongside other talented chefs from around the world and look forward to celebrating this accolade.”
