With the nonprofit organisation Rethink, the famous Michelin-starred Eleven Madison Park restaurant in Manhattan distributes meals to NY citizens in need and hospital employees.
Daniel Humm, owner and chef of the Eleven Park Madison restaurant in Manhattan, announced via social media that he is opening his restaurant to help Rethink and they will cook for health workers and people in need. “This city has given me everything, so I really wanted to figure out what I could do to give back,” Daniel Humm told Amelia Nierenberg’s interview for the NY Times. 12 chefs continue to work at the restaurant, which has been closed since last month due to coronavirus, for contributing to the community. At first, 1,000 meals targeted for a day, but they prepare 3,000 meals a day to help more people.
