Evens’ interest in gastronomy began at an early age, and after attending culinary school in Lima, Peru’s capital, he joined the Hyatt Hotel in Florida as an intern.
Evens’ passion for world cuisine inspired his travels and took him to Europe. He worked at the Michelin-starred Ristorante Trussardi Alla Scala in Milan before heading to France to join Yannick Alleno at the 3-Michelin-starred Pavillon Ledoyen in Paris.
Evens was a finalist at the San Pellegrino Young Chef Awards in Monaco and won the ‘Fine Dining Lovers Food for Thought’ award. Evens, who worked with Alain Ducasse at Le Louis XV while in Monaco, moved to London in 2019, joining Isaac McHale as Senior Sous Chef at The Clove Club.
Prior to joining La Dame de Pic London, Evens was personally recruited by Anne-Sophie Pic to train at Valence and brings a wealth of knowledge, originality and creativity before joining the restaurant as Chef de Cuisine.
