Jun’s, which made its debut in the Gault&MIllau UAE guide this year, has launched a tasting menu of chef Kelvin Cheung’s most loved dishes. Available in vegetarian or non-vegetarian options, the menu showcases Cheung’s third-culture cooking philosophy.
From growing up in a traditional Chinese household in Toronto to living and working in India for ten years, the chef’s cooking operates without borders, blending cuisines, ingredients and flavours into his own style.
The restaurant was awarded one toque in the Gault&MIllau UAE 2023 guide, winning praise for the chef and staff’s passion and the unconventional dishes on offer.
Showcased in the new set menu are dishes such as lobster pani puri, scallops and corn, sea bream carpaccio, tempura za’atar chaat, miso toothfish congee Khichidi, wagyu ribeye and broccoli noodles, and more.
Vegetarian options include mushroom pani puri, watermelon tartar, rainbow heirloom carrots, spinach saag dip and baked Alaska tiramisu mochi with hot chocolate mocha.
The menus are available all day every day and cost AED450 per person for the non-vegetarian option and AED375 for the vegetarian menu.
