Chef Daniel Boulud’s 20-year-old business in New York, Café Boulud, has closed permanently after months of uncertainty. Miami Beach’s Italian restaurant, Casa Tua, will replace Café Boulud, Boulud’s business at the Surrey hotel. Casa Tua is scheduled to open in early 2023.
Other restaurants of Boulud, such as Bar Boulud and Épicerie Boulud, which are located at Lincoln Center and inside the Oculus at the World Trade Center, are still open. The chef will open Le Pavillon, a new 11,000 square meter seafood restaurant inside the Midtown skyscraper One Vanderbilt, later this month.
