Chef Cristina Bowerman has made her entire life a journey against the tide. She is known with her creativity, innovation, commitment and dedication.
After an initial experience at Convivio Troiani, she landed at the restaurant Glass Hostaria, where she has been the Chef Patron for seventeen years. Her restaurant is a contemporary and innovative space in the heart of Trastevere, Rome, that perfectly matches her cuisine: a blend of flavors from around the world and centuries-old traditions, with a mix of past, present and future.
In 2010, Chef Bowerman was awarded with a Michelin star, the only woman in Italy for that year,
and in 2020 the Three Forks of Gambero Rosso.
In 2023, she was included by Forbes among the 100 Successful Women who, with their commitment and leadership skills, contributed to the growth of Italy.
She is involved in many charities and on several important issues, such as women’s empowerment, and has received many awards, but the ones she is most proud of are “Woman Chef of the Year” from FoodCommunity and the LoveItalianLife Award as “Best Italian Woman Chef in Europe.”
