José Andrés, the founder of World Central Kitchen, wrote on his Twitter account that everyone who comes with vaccination paper until 70 percent of the total population is vaccinated, Washington D.C. announced that it will present a $ 50 gift card valid at ThinkFoodGroup restaurants in its region.

A spokesperson for ThinkFoodGroup further clarified the specifics of the offer, saying, “Show your fully vaccinated card at Jaleo DC, Jaleo Crystal City, Oyamel, Zaytinya, or China Chilcano and receive a $50 card for future use within the next 30 days, food only. Can only redeem once.”

“I would not say it’s a ‘plan,’ but it’s just one more way that a citizen like me can be helping change the minds of people that maybe are not sure yet about getting the vaccine,” Andrés said on MSNBC’s The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart in a video the chef retweeted.
