The first “Restaurant of the Future” is planned to open in Florida, this summer.

Checkers Drive-In Restaurant CEO Frances Allen stated that they are preparing to open their restaurant with a new look, a digital-only drive-thru lane and new kitchen equipment with the concept of “Restaurant of the Future”, reports Nation’s Restaurant News.

In 2020, customers gravitated to the contactless, off-premise experience offered by the drive-thru format, Allen said.
