The Bob Bob Cite restaurant in London will reopen later this month, with Ben Hobson taking over as head chef. The venue in the Leadenhall building will reopen on October 26 under the name Bob Bob Ricard City.
Ben Hobson began his career as a chef at Galvin at Windows in London in 2010 and later moved into party chef roles at Tom Kerridge’s the Hand and Flowers in Marlow, Buckinghamshire and the Star Inn in Harome, North Yorkshire. He returned to Galvin as senior chef in 2015 and was promoted to senior sous chef in 2017 before joining Bob Bob Ricard City in December 2020.
The restaurant’s owner, Leonid Shutov, aims to make the venue similar to Soho’s original, which was launched in May 2019. Shutov said: “Ben Hobson worked very hard behind the scenes throughout the closure of Bob Bob Ricard City. It brings with it great passion, talent and classic French expertise from many years at Galvin.”
