The 8th Edition of the International Gastromasa Gastronomy Conference which continues to serve as a bridge between Turkey and world gastronomy and is in the first two places among world gastronomy events, will be held on November 4-5, 2023 at the Haliç Congress Center in Istanbul. The theme of the conference will be “Geography”. About Junghyun Park
Chef Junghyun Park aka JP is a Seoul borned New York-based chef. Most recently he marked his name by receiving the Best Chef: NY State (2023) given by James Beard Foundation. He is globally praised for his NYC restaurant Atomix with the 2 Michelin Stars and The World’s 50 Best 2023 Awards ranked in the 8th place and Atoboy in NoMad, NARO in Rockefeller Center, and Seoul Salon in Koreatown.
Entering the kitchen at a young age he was kind of a wanderer and acquired experience across the world, he started working in Ledbury, London, UK as an intern in 2007. Afterward moved to Melbourne and worked as a line cook at Cutler&Co in Melbourne, AUS till 2010. After two years of experience, he moved to Korea and took part in Jungsik Dang Seoul, S. Korea as a chef de cuisine. New York-based chef ‘’JP’’ open his very first restaurant in New York under the name of Jungsik. In 2019, he was awarded as Best New Chef by Food & Wine Magazine. Being one of the prominents of the Korean Movement in New York City he maintains searching and evolving Hansik on a global scale. Alongside with top-notch career and research, he has an academic background in food sciences at Kyungehee University, Seoul, S. Korea. Chef Junghyun Park’s first cookbook, Korea: The Cookbook (Phaidon Press) is forthcoming in Fall 2023.
