Esquire Magazine recently published its annual best restaurants article, which includes its awards for the United States’ best restaurants and chefs. This year’s pastry chef of the year is Coral Gables’ Antonio Bachour.
Bachour, a native of Puerto Rico, has made his home in Coral Gables, opening his restaurant, Bachour, on 2020 Salzedo and quickly becoming one of the most popular breakfast and lunch spots in the City. He has published four books and has traveled the world using his talents to teach others about his unique pastry methods.
“Antonio Bachour, raised in Puerto Rico, has become an Instagram star because of his jewel-like, wildly creative sweets, but at his new full-service restaurant in the Miami area, we also get to see how a virtuoso baker can work miracles with a Cuban sandwich and an avocado toast.” – Esquire Magazine
