Sat Bains, the celebrity chef at 2 Michelin-Starred Restaurant Sat Bains, is collaborating with someone very special for his new initiative to bring his unique tastes to homes: his mother.

While Bains’ world-famous 10-course tasting menu cannot meet its guests due to the pandemic, the successful chef Bains works on a special take away menu with his team and mother. “This is the genuine home-style food my mum makes,” said Bains Nottingham Post, who is working hard to perfect Punjabi dishes that are at the center of the ‘Momma Bains’ take-away menu. The all-vegetarian, all-vegan menu launches this weekend with samosas filled with potatoes, peas and spices, and chickpea curry and a tamarind chutney. In the coming weeks other dishes like lentil dhal, aubergine sabji and aloo gobi will be added.

The Indian dishes, all from his mum’s repertoire, will be sold at some of the UK’s top chippies, including the award-winning Cod’s Scallops’ shops in Nottingham and No.1 Cromer in Norfolk.
