Michel and Sebastian Bras, the successful chefs of Maison Bras Restaurant and Toya Restaurant are preparing to open their second restaurant in Japan. The new restaurant will feature Italian chef Simone Cantafio.
Michel Bras and Sebastian Bras, father-son chef duo of the 2 Michelin-starred Maison Bras Restaurant, announced that they are preparing to open a new restaurant in Japan with Italian chef Simone Cantafio.
According to the statement the restaurant will be located in Karuizawa town with an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level is “a refuge of Tokyoites who come here to seek freshness in summer and dive into its soothing onsens all year round”.Designed by the famous Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, restaurant kitchen will be run by Simone Cantafio, who worked in the kitchen at le Suquet, the parent company of the Bras family and who also runs Michel’s and Sébastien’s first open restaurant in Japan, Toya.
