Game bar chain Five Iron Golf has signed a new project in Loop. The East Coast-based brand opened its long-awaited second Chicago venue last week in Block 37 with a menu of high-tech golf simulators, a bar, and casual bar food.

New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C. and Five Iron Golf, which operates similar facilities in Vegas, spanned 11,000 square feet in a four-story mall at 108 N. State Street. Co-founder and CEO Jared Solomon said the company continues to grow rapidly and plans to open its third Chicago location in Lincoln Park in March.

The area in Block 37 features 11 golf simulator compartments with comfortable seats and TrackMan technology with HD video, which allows users to monitor data such as ball speed and club track. As with all Five Iron locations, food and beverage menus will change seasonally, and Solomon says he hopes to operate zero kitchens at every outpost across the country next year.
