The Michelin Guide Singapore 2022 has been revealed, with two new two-stars and seven new one-stars being included in the sixth edition of the guide.

The multicultural dining destination continues to maintain its three-stars restaurants trio – Odette, Les Amis and Restaurant Zén – as it emerges from the global pandemic. Michelin director, Gwendal Poullennec said: “There is no doubt that Singapore is still a culinary gem, and thanks to the particularly impressive flexibility of all professionals in the industry, local and international gourmets will once again be able to experience unforgettable gastronomic journeys in Lion City.”

Cloudstreet and Thevar join five other two-Michelin-stars restaurants in Singapore: JAAN by Kirk Westaway, Saint Pierre, Shisen Hanten, Shoukouwa and Waku Ghin. Sri Lankan chef Rishi Naleendra takes diners at Cloudstreet on a culinary journey, and at lively Thevar, chef Mano Thevar offers an inventive multi-course menu rooted in Indian traditions.

In the one-star ranking, David Pynt’s newly opened Australian barbecue restaurant Burnt Ends, joins other new one-star restaurants: La Dame de Pic at Raffles Hotel, Japanese Hamamoto, Korean-inspired Nae:um, where chef Louis Han was also recognised with this year’s Young Chef Award, French/Japanese inspired Rêve, contemporary European restaurant, Marguerite and Jason Tan’s gastro-botanica inspired Euphoria. Singapore currently has a total of 42 one-star restaurants, including the seven newly joined restaurants and a street food stall.
