Famous actor Leonardo DiCaprio, known for his sensitivity to environmental problems, supported the vegan burger restaurant Neat Burger, which raised funds to increase the number of fast food branches. Neat Burger, which already has a pop-up in London, plans to open a restaurant in New York soon.
Stating that DiCaprio’s support for Neat Burger is very meaningful, founder Tommaso Chiabra said, “People like Leonardo think like we do and know how much needs to be done, and how much the animal farming industry can be disrupted.” DiCaprio said in a statement, “Disrupting our food system with sustainable alternatives is one of the key ways we can make a real difference in reducing global emissions.”
Founded in 2019, Neat Burger is also supported by F1 driver Lewis Hamilton. According to an independent study, Neat Burger leaves a much lower carbon footprint than its counterparts.
Neat Burger plans to open new restaurants with the funds it collects, as well as supply its products to supermarkets in the UK and the USA.
