Michelin has recently announced 12 more restaurants to be included in the 2022 Great Britain and Ireland Guide. New additions include Welsh chef James Sommerin’s Home restaurant in Penarth, Glamorgan, which opened this summer after the unexpected closure of his eponymous Michelin-starred restaurant last year.
Also in the UK are Bailiwick in Egham, Surrey, run by chefs Steven and Ami Ellis; Old Fishmarket in Weymouth, Dorset; food writer Ruth Watson’s Watson and Walpole in Framingham, Suffolk; Engine Sociall at Sowerby Bridge, Halifax; and Habas in Manchester are included in the list.
Michelin has been making monthly additions to its 2022 guide on the last Wednesday of every month since August. Whether the new additions will receive a star, Bib Gourmand, Green Star, or be listed as suggested in the 2022 guide will not be confirmed until a ceremony next year.
