More than 800 guests attended the Asian Curry Awards held at Grosvenor House in London Mayfair on Sunday, November 22, 2021. The night was marked by Benares, who was named Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year in London, and Navadhanya from Cambridge won a similar award for the regions. Heritage Dulwich receives the Asian Restaurant of the Year award for London.

It was also named Best Vegetarian for Cardiff’s Vegetarian Food Studio, Street Food Restaurant of the Year with Newcastle’s My Delhi. Newcomer of the Year went to Anokha in Bromley and Young Chef of the Year to Sahil Ahmad of Worthing’s Spice I. Asian Restaurant of the Year for Scotland was Panache in Elgin for Wales, sharing the award with Grand Sultan (Port Talbot) and Jashaan (Cardiff). Additionally, UK Curry Connect’s chief operating officer, Shah Athar, was awarded the Special Commendation Award for his ‘outstanding contribution to catering inspiration through leadership and inspiration’.
