Former Michelin-starred chef Paul Heathcote will return to Preston with a new restaurant to open in England. The chef, who is the former owner of The Longridge Restaurant, will open a restaurant called ‘Number 23 Winckley’, which will be located at 23 Winckley Square.
Paul’s new project will be located at the same address but it is thought it will not be a traditional restaurant. Plans include live music, sale of alcohol, late night refreshments up to 12:30am, dance performances and exhibitions of films. It is not yet known when Preston City Council will take the application to the city’s licensing committee.
Paul Heathcote operated Heathcotes Brasserie at the same Winckley Square address until 2016 before it was sold to Solita. After Solita closed in 2018, it reopened as Trinity on the Square, but closed in 2019.
