California’s three Michelin-starred farm restaurant SingleThread has announced new pop-up Project Usu-Zan, which will open next to the restaurant to offer an outdoor dining experience. Usu-Zan’s theme is inspired by Japan’s Hokkaido known for its ski resorts and fresh seafood.
The interior of the tent will be designed by San Francisco designer Ken Fulk. SingleThread owners Kyle and Katina Connaughton want to honor their formative years spent in Hokkaido learning cooking and farming and share this experience with their visitors in this magical winter forest.
Usu-Zan, with a menu consisting of fresh Hokkaido style seafood, will be open from December 10th, 2020 to March 28th, 2021.
