Mama Delia brings together the authentic flavours and products of Spain with Chicago.
The flavours of Spain meet with Chicagoans thanks to a new project called Mama Delia, which is a combination of restaurant, sherry bar and gourmet market in Wicker Park. Offering a contemporary Spanish cuisine experience, Mama Delia wants to “reflect the current culinary direction in Spain of embracing cultural diversity while respecting its roots.” Mama Delia becomes the new meeting point of Chicagoans by offering a wide range of unique gourmet dishes and small production wines from Spain with its store and offering artisan cheeses and Ibérico ham alongside a diverse selection of Sherry with a marble counter in its Sherry Bar, as well as local products, a variety of flavours, creative compositions and cooking techniques with its highlighting restaurant.
According to fsrmagazine.com, dishes on offer include many options such as paella, huevos rotos, foie gras terrine with quince jam, and boneless ribeye steak from Galician cows, while customers can pair their food with a variety of natural and organic wines and beers from Spain and Portugal. However, Mama Delia, where chefs are always waiting for customers to answer their questions, will also welcome guests in the future with wine tasting, product tasting and cooking classes.
