With the lifting of the restrictions in Germany last Saturday, Cafe Rothe in Schwerin has come up with a fun solution for implementing social distance rules.
With the opening of restaurants, cafes and bars, many businesses provide social distance by placing plastic screens or signs between tables, while Cafe Rothe in Schwerin provides the social distance with pool noodles placed on hats. The photo of business owner Jaqueline Rothe which customers wearing the hat was highly appreciated. “This was the perfect method to keep customers apart – and a fun one,” Rothe said in an interview with local TV IRL. Cafe Rothe, which normally has 36 inside and 20 outside tables, has 12 inside and 8 outside tables due to the 1.5-meter distance rule.
