FSUMMIT, the 1. International Tourism Gastronomy and Hospitality Summit, which was held for the first time this year with the theme of “Differencing in Hospitality”, brought together the leaders of the sector. The organization, enriched by the speeches of hundreds of speakers, made a great impression.

The 1. International Tourism Gastronomy and Hospitality Summit FSUMMIT, held in Antalya on 23-24 June, took the pulse of the sector. On the first day of the summit, which focuses on the future of gastronomy in Turkey, current problems, and new strategies; Antalya OSB Chairman Ali Bahar, Antalya Municipality Secretary-General Mustafa Gürbüz, Antalya Deputy Governor Nurettin Ateş, and Sözen Group General Manager Gökmen Sözen made their opening speeches.

There was great interest in the panel, where many topics from tourism and gastronomy policies of non-governmental organizations to new marketing strategies of enterprises, from product and supply standards to digitalization were discussed.

The panels, moderated by important names such as Vedat Başaran, Gonca Karakaş, Önder Özcan, Arda Sayıner, Müge Akgün, Ebru Erke, Defne Tüysüzoğlu, Osman Ayık and Murat Bozok, contributed to the determination of new steps to be taken in the development of gastronomy tourism in Turkey. Managers and chefs of Turkey’s most important hotels and businesses shared their sectoral details, experiences and future plans with the audience.

Aiming to undertake a mission that shapes the gastronomy tourism and hospitality sector in Turkey, FSUMMIT will once again bring together the leaders of the sector in Antalya in February 2022.
